Training sessions vary throughout the year depending on the season and any major upcoming events. Schedules appear weekly on our club forum, updated as they change.

However, the schedule always includes a major bike ride on Saturday mornings, commencing from the car park on Mona Vale Road St Ives (opposite Pattison’s bakery/coffee shop) at 6:30am. This session is medium pace, middle to longish distance, depending on the time of year and what races people are training for. Currently the ride alternates between two routes totalling around 70km. It provides an ideal opportunity to meet and get to know the club and its core members.

During winter smaller groups ride mid-Friday mornings from Terrey Hills Thai Carpark and also on Sunday mornings. For full details refer to specific topics in the club forum.

We also have the Club “transition training sessions” (approximating sprint triathlon race conditions, but in an informal, semi-competitive atmosphere) that are generally held on a Sunday once a month or late Saturday afternoons during daylight savings. These consist of a 500m swim, 15k bike and 4k run. Dates for the next few months ahead are notified on our club forum. These are sometimes followed by a breakfast (Sunday mornings) or barbeque (Saturday evenings).

The swim commences at 7am at the Terrey Hills Swim School, Myoora Road (be there by 6:30am to set-up transition in car park). The bike is held on the low traffic roads out to Duffy’s Forest, and the run up and down Myoora Rd’s footpaths.

The sessions are run on a handicap system, to give everyone a chance to “win”.
